Lorrha GAA News for 2 June

Tipperary GAA Clubs’ Draw: Due to the positive response to the new Draw, the first draw of the 2012-2013 Draw has been deferred to Friday, 8th June to give clubs more time to promote the draw and sign up new subscribers.
This year will be its 25th Anniversary and there will be 25 Skoda Cars up front grabs (2 per month) as well as 25 monthly prizes of €500 each. Tickets are €100 each can be paid in two installments of €50 each; five installments of €20 each or ten monthly installments of €10. There is also a direct debit facility available.
If you wish to join, please contact club coordinator Margaret Gleeson or promoters Madeleine Maher, Shane Brophy, Michael Hoctor, John O’Brien, Louis McCormack, Seamus Deely and Tony Coen.
Remember, €50 from every ticket stays with Lorrha GAA club for the promotion of games in the club.

Senior: Our final North Championship game against Borrisokane has been fixed for Saturday, 9th June with the County Championship set to begin in July.
Junior: The Junior hurlers will play Kildangan in the first round of the North Championship on weekend 8-10 June. Burgess, Nenagh Eire Óg and Knockshegowna are also in the group.
Minor Hurling: Lorrha Rovers will host Roscrea in the first round of the North Minor ‘A’ Hurling Championship which is due to get underway in early July. Lorrha Rovers have a bye in round two with games to follow against Kildangan (away), Ballina (home), Nenagh Eire Óg (away), Kilruane MacDonaghs (home) and Toomevara (away)
Under 14: The U14 ‘B’ Hurling Championship gets underway on Wednesday, 6th June. Lorrha have been grouped with Roscrea ‘B’, Portroe, Borris-Ileigh, Burgess and Silvermines.
Under 12: The U12’s took on Clonmel Óg in the Premier 12s Football End Games in Semple Stadium on Tuesday evening. News next week.
Tipperary: Well done to Patrick Maher who made a massive impact to help Tipperary come from behind against Limerick in the Munster Championship last Sunday. Well done also to the Tipp Intermediate team of which Ciaran Haugh is a panelist on their win over Limerick. Hard luck to the Tipp senior and junior footballers on their defeats to Kerry.
Cúl Camp: This years Kellogg’s Cul Camp will be held in Moatfield between 16-20 July from 10am-2.30pm daily. Cost is €55 for 1 child; €100 for 2 children; €140 for 3 children. The camp is open to juveniles between the ages of 6 & 13. Each juvenile will get a Kellogg’s Cúl Camp jersey and gear bag. Gym: Our Gym is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7pm to 9.30pm. There is also a special class on a Thursday evening for those who wish to train at a slower pace from 7-8pm. Gym cost is €3 per member or €5 for non members.
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Pat & Ritchie. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the O’Meara family on the death of Dan ‘Danny’ O’Meara, The Pike, Rathcabbin, who died over the weekend. May he rest in peace.
