U/21: Lorrha 1-11 Templederry 3-14
Our hurling campaign came to an end on Saturday afternoon when Templederry finished the stronger to win the North ‘A’ semi-final. Lorrha began the game well with Conor Sullivan, Jack Maher and Cian Hogan pointing from play while Sean Cleary pointed three frees. Playing with the breeze in the first half, Lorrha lead eight points to five at the break. We maintained the three point lead until Templederry struck for a goal ten minutes in and a second from a long range free which landed in the net took the wind from our sails. Templederry’s greater fitness from their Intermediate campaign stood to them in the closing quarter but our lads drove battled it out to the end, looking for goals and ours came deep in injury time through a Kevin Maher penalty.
Thanks to Noel Hogan and his selectors for their efforts with the team in recent weeks.
