Under 21 Hurling: Lorrha lost 3-12 to 1-8 to Toomevara in the first round of the North U21 ‘A’ Hurling Championship in Borrisokane on Bank Holiday Monday. Lorrha trailed 2-3 to 0-7 at the break after playing with the wind before succumbing to a stronger Toome after the break. Lorrha now face Burgess in a quarter final.
Shinty: Well done to Patrick Maher who was on the Ireland team which defeated Scotland in the first test of the Shinty International at Croke Park last Saturday evening. Eoin McIntyre also played in an exhibition game at between the Shinty and International Rules series games last Saturday night last also.

Community Work Scheme: Lorrha GAA Club have secured a second Community Employment Scheme. The post is for people who have been on social welfare for the last 12 months and who are over 25 years of age. Applications are being handled through the FAS office in Nenagh.
First Aid Course: North Tipperary Sports Partnership is running a Sports First Aid training course on Saturday 16th November in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh from 10am – 5pm.
Numbers are limited to a maximum of 12 participants and places will be allocated on a first to register basis, so early booking is advised. The cost of the course is €70 per person.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants are presented with a Sports First Aid Certificate and a Heartsaver AED card from the Irish Heart Foundation/ CFR community from PHECC, which is valid for two years.
