Lorrha GAA News for 20 June

5-Year Plan: If you would still like to submit some ideas for the 5-Year Plan, you can email them to: secretary.lorrhaanddorrha.tipperary@gaa.ie. This information will be then forwarded to Ger O'Meara who will put the plan together and we would like to thank Ger for taking up this role.

Senior: Lorrha suffered a disappointing 1-23 to 0-13 defeat to Nenagh Eire Og in the semi-final of the Dr Fogarty County Challenge Cup Final in Nenagh on Friday evening.

Our next game will be in the quarter final of the North Tipp Senior Hurling Championship against Kildangan in Cloughjordan on Sunday, 28th June at 7pm.

Junior Hurling: Well done to the Junior hurlers who retained the North Tipp Junior 'B' League title following a 1-20 to 1-12 final victory over Portroe in Puckane on Sunday evening. Ronan O'Meara's second half goal turned the game in Lorrha's favour with Donal Kennedy accepting the trophy following the game. Well done to the players and mentors

The North Championship is due to get underway on Saturday, 27th June against Toomevara.

Minor: Lorrha will play Ballina in the opening round of the North Minor 'B' Hurling Championship on Thursday, 25th June at 7.30pm; venue to be confirmed.

Under 14: Lorrha/Shannon Rovers continued their good start to the hurling championship with a 0-14 to 1-3 win over Moneygall/Clonakenny in Moatfield last week. This evening (Wednesday), they are away to Newport Gaels in Newport at 7pm. Next Wednesday, 24th June, they will have a friendly with Templederry.

Under 12: The U12's suffered defeat to Borris-Ileigh last Friday night in their second championship game. On Monday evening, Lorrha hosted Newport but there was no result at the time of going to press. This Friday, 19th June, Lorrha host Borrisokane in Moatfield at 6.30pm.

Tipperary v Limerick: Best of luck to Patrick Maher and the Tipperary senior and junior hurlers against Limerick in the championship this Sunday. Hard luck to the Tipp senior and junior footballers following their defeats to Kerry last Sunday.

Cul Camp: This years Lorrha Kelloggs Cul Camp takes place in Moatfield from 13th to 17th July from 10am to 2.30pm inclusive. All registration must be done online at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie

Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Jason Travers. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
