Lorrha GAA News for 20 March

Lotto: Thanks to everyone who is supporting our lotto, which is the clubs main source of fundraising. With the jackpot currently high, the number of players is growing by the week, particularly online on www.locallotto.ie where it is easy to play the lottery every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.

Membership: Closing date for membership is fast approaching on 31 March. New GAA rules mean all membership must be paid by that date. The club will be holding registration centres in the coming weeks to allow people to pay.
€40 – Adult Players; €20 – Non Playing Adults; €15 – Minor/College Students and Juveniles (with match ticket entry); €10 – Juveniles (without match ticket entry). All membership is payable to registrar Tadhg Nevin, Glenbower, Rathcabbin, Roscrea. Only fully paid-up members can enter the draw for Tipperary tickets later in the summer.

Support Your Club: The club are making a major push this month to get as many Vodafone customers within the parish signed up to the scheme. If you are a Vodafone customer, you can now support Lorrha GAA club by signing up to Vodafone Support your Club for free. At no cost to you, 5% of your monthly bill or top-up will go directly to the club. Club members and supporters need to register at www.supportyourgaaclub.ie.

U21: Our U21 footballers qualified for the North ‘A’ Final with a superb 4-10 to 3-6 win over Borris-Ileigh in Borrisoleigh on Friday night last. Lorrha will meet Newport in the final this Saturday in Toomevara at 2pm. Check North Bord Fixture for date, time and venue. Best of luck to the players and mentors and we urge a big Lorrha support to attend to get the year off to the best possible start.
The U21 Hurlers will play Burgess in the first round of the championship on Saturday, 27 March.

Indoor Hurling: moves to Rathcabbin Hall beginning this Friday, 19 March. Training for Under 8’s at 7pm and Under 10’s @ 8pm. All are welcome.

U12 & 14 Training: U12 & 14 football training continues this Friday in Moatfield @ 6.30pm. All players to attend. All players must have their membership paid before the championship starts.

Cúl Camp: This years Lorrha GAA Cúl Camp will take place on the week of 19-23 July. More details next week.

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music of Brian McDermott. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
