Lorrha GAA News for 20 November

Lotto: From the winter months, the lotto draws for the winters months willtake place at 9pm sharp in the Clubhouse so we ask all promoters and lottoplayers to have their tickets deposited before 8pm. Thank you for yourcontinued support.

You can play our lottoonline at www.helpourclub.ie where itis easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.

 

Poker Classic: Lorrha GAA are holding a Poker Classic in TheFriars Tavern, Lorrha on this Friday, 19 November from 9pm sharp. Entry is €20with guaranteed prize-money of €1000. Tickets costing €10 can also be boughtfrom players which can be used to take part and will be entered in a draw towin cash prizes on the night. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

 

Auction: After a four year absence, the club will bereviving the auction on Sunday, 12 December as part of a day of fundraisingevents. Starting at 1.30pm, the GAA and Camogie Clubs will be running a relaymarathon where players will run in relay around the pitches to run 26 miles,the full marathon distance. Then around 3.30pm, there will be the auction wheretimber, turf, and farm produce will be auctioned off. Anyone who wishes todonate trees for cutting or produce for the auction should contact Tadhg Nevin(0874125642). All money raised will go towards the running of the GAA and theCamogie clubs.

 

Development: Development works in Moatfield are entering their final phase withour fine new complex set to be at the disposal of all our teams and memberscome the New Year. The fine weather has allowed almost un-impeded work,including the installation of a new sewage system which necessitated putting apipe underneath the playing pitch across the road. However, the area which wasdug up will be resurfaced and ready in time for 2011.

 

AGM: TheAnnual General Meeting of Lorrha GAA Club will take place in the GAA Clubhouseon Saturday, 11 December at 8.15pm (following mass in Redwood). Nominationpapers will be issued this week. This is the chance for members and new membersto inform themselves about how the club is run and offer views on improvementsthat can be made.

 

Tipp Draw: AllTipperary Draw coordinators are asked to collect as much of their outstandingmonies as possible and return to Treasurer William Harding before accounts areclosed.

 

Coaching: Award 1 / Level 1 Coaching Course – Friday 26November + Friday 3 December from 7.30pm – 10.00pm andSaturday 27 November + Saturday 4 December from 10.00am -3.00pm. If you are interested in this course and are available on these datesplease contact Ken Hogan.

 

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music ofCatherine & Images. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
