Lorrha GAA News for 21 June

Lotto: Our jackpot now stands at €15,000. If our jackpot is not won, it will be capped at €15,000 with the roll over going onto the new jackpot which will start at €4,500. Senior: Lorrha are now awaiting a date for our county championship game with JK Brackens. This could be delayed due to progress of the Tipperary senior footballers over the next couple of weeks.

Junior Hurling: Lorrha will play Kildangan in the North Junior 'B' League final. The final is likely be played in the coming weeks but could be after our opening championship game which is against Ballina and is likely to be on weekend 28-29 June.

Minor: The Minor hurlers get their North 'B' Championship campaign underway next Tuesday evening when they play Portroe in Portroe at 7.45pm

Under 14: Our young U14's lost 6-6 to 4-4 at home to Portroe on Wednesday last. Last Monday evening, Lorrha played Moneygall/Templederry, due to the schools final taking place on Wednesday, news next week. Their next game is away to Shannon Rovers in Ballinderry on Wednesday, 25th June at 6.30pm

Under 12: The U12's suffered a 5-8 to 2-4 defeat to Silvermines in the 'B' championship in Moatfield last Friday evening. Lorrha's next game is away to Burgess in Kilcolman next Friday at 6.30pm.

Schools: Best of luck to Lorrha/Redwood NS who play Annacarty NS in the the Cumann na mBunscol County final in Semple Stadium, Thurles on Wednesday, 18th June at 3.50pm.

Tipperary: Best of luck to the Tipperary senior footballers in the Munster semi-final against Cork this Saturday evening.

Cul Camp: This years Kelloggs Cul Camp takes place in Moatfield from Monday 14th to Friday 18th July. To register, go online to www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/ where you can also redeem your money-off vouchers on Kelloggs cereal boxes. You can also book locally by contacting Juvenile Secretary Louise Mannion. Sign up your young stars for a week of fun where they will improve their skills, meet their friends and also some Tipp GAA stars.

Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: The May and June Draws for the 2014/2015 Tipperary Draws took place last Friday night; unfortunately, we didn't have any winners on this occasion. The club would like to thank all those who have subscribed for the draw through the club which is also a vital source of funding for the club.

Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Checkers. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am. There are also Social Dancing Classes each Wednesday night in the GAA Centre from 8-11pm for both beginners and those looking to improve.
