Lorrha GAA News for 21 May

November 8, 2018

Senior: Lorrha return to competitive action on Friday evening when they travel to Clonakenny to take on the home side in the quarter final of the James Holohan Cup. Throw-in is at 7.30pm.

Following that, Lorrha will face Roscrea in the first round of the North Championship which will take place on 28-29 May or 4-5 June.

Junior: The Junior hurlers recorded an impressive 3-20 to 2-8 win over Kiladangan in their last group game of the league in Moatfield on Sunday evening. The win keeps Lorrha in the hunt for a semi-final place, depending on the outcome of the Kiladangan v Portroe game.

Under 16: Lorrha Rovers Gaels played Inane Rovers in the North U16 'A' Football final on Monday but fell to a 3-8 to 0-8 defeat. Hard luck to the players and mentors but it was a great achievement to get to the final and we look forward to the hurling championship in the coming weeks.

Under 14: Lorrha Rovers Gaels defeated Kiladangan 2-9 to 1-3 in the North 'B' Football semi-final in Moatfield last Wednesday evening. They will play Ballinahinch/Templederry in the final this Thursday, 19th May in Puckane at 7pm. Your support would be appreciated.
