Lorrha GAA News for 23 April

Tipperary Clubs Draw: The 2010-2011 Draw has now been completed. All coordinators are asked to collect all outstanding money for the draw before registering members for the 2011-2012 draw which will begin in May. The Draw costs €100 for the year or €10 per month with monthly prizes ranging from €200 up to €15,000 and a car. €50 from each ticket stays with the club while the number of players counts towards our Tipperary ticket allocation later in the year. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Lotto: Our jackpot now stands at €8,650. Thank you for your continued support.
You can also play our lotto online at www.myclubfinances.com where it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.

Senior: Lorrha face a crush game against Burgess in the second round of the championship on this Saturday, 23 April in Cloughjordan @ 6pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors.

Junior: The juniors are next in action away to Moneygall on Bank Holiday Monday, 2 May.

Minor Football: The minors were edged out late on (3-8 to 2-7) by Ballina in Ballina on Friday last. Next up is a game against Burgess in Moatfield on Thursday, 21 April @ 6.30pm.

U16: Training continues on Wednesday evening in Moatfield from 7-8pm.

U14: The U14’s were defeated by Toomevara last Wednesday. Next up Templederry in Moatfield on Wednesday (tonight) @ 6.30pm. Training continues on Friday evenings from 6-7pm.

Premier 12’s: The U12’s footballers were defeated by Shannon Rovers in on Thursday last. Check Bord na nOg fixtures. Training for U10 & 12’s now in Moatfield on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

North Tipperary: Well done to Jamies Lewis and Christopher Fogarty who featured for the North Tipp U16’s in their Garda Cup success at the weekend in Holycross. Also to Brian Hogan who was on the North Tipp U15 side that won the Roger Ryan Interdivisional tournament in Toomevara on Saturday.

Photo Gallery: Further to the ongoing development of the new clubhouse facilities, the committee are looking at setting up of photo gallery of current and past Lorrha teams and Lorrha players who played with Tipperary over the years.
We ask that anyone who would have photos in their family photo albums relating to above would wish to share with the club. The club will make a copy of your submitted photo and return original to you. If you have any interesting photos no matter how old or new that you think may be of interest to the club please contact Rose Mannion or William Harding.

Old Time Dancing: There is No Old Time Dancing continues this Good Friday night but will resume the following Friday to the music of Brian McDermott. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
