Lorrha GAA News for 23 June

Senior: The seniors have been drawn to meet Carrick Davins in the first round of the County Senior Hurling Championship. The game has been fixed for Sunday, 1st July in Templemore but depends on the outcome of the Tipperary v Cork game next Sunday.
Junior Hurling: The junior hurlers will play Nenagh Eire Óg in the second round of the junior championship. Check North Bórd fixtures for confirmation.
Minor Hurling: Lorrha Rovers will take on Roscrea in the first round of the Minor ‘A’ hurling championship in early July.
Under 16: Lorrha will begin their U16 hurling campaign against Portroe on 9th July.
Under 12: Having won their opening two games, Lorrha took on Borrisokane in a useful challenge game last Friday evening. This Friday, Templederry come to Moatfield for the latest round of the Premier 12s Hurling at 7.00pm
Tipperary: Best of luck to the Tipperary senior and intermediate hurling teams against Cork this Sunday and to our own Patrick Maher and Ciaran Haugh who are part of the respective panels.
Cúl Camp: This years Kellogg’s Cul Camp will be held in Moatfield between 16-20 July from 10am-2.30pm daily. Cost is €55 for 1 child; €100 for 2 children; €140 for 3 children. The camp is open to juveniles between the ages of 6 & 13. Each juvenile will get a Kellogg’s Cúl Camp jersey and gear bag. First Aid and Defibrillator Training: Anyone interested in taking part in this training course is to contact Shane Brophy (0876989612).
Gym: Our Gym is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7pm to 9.30pm. There is also a special class on a Thursday evening for those who wish to train at a slower pace from 7-8pm. Gym cost is €3 per member or €5 for non members.
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Ted & Cathal Barry. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
Congratulations: to Jack Maher and Michelle Moran who were married on Saturday last.
Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the O’Donoghue family, on the death of Emmanuel Gonzalez, United States who died last week. May he rest in peace.
