Lorrha GAA News for 24 September

Junior Hurling: Our junior hurlers bowed out of the championship on Saturday evening following a 2-12 to 1-11 defeat to Portroe in the North semi-final in Puckane. The club would like to thank the players and mentors for their efforts this year.

Under 21: All Under 21 players are asked to attend training with the juniors as the championship will get underway in the coming weeks.

Under 16: Lorrha Rovers played Roscrea last Monday week in the North semi-final and the game ended in a draw, 2-11 to 1-14. The replay took place on Monday in Borrisokane and Lorrha Rovers Gaels won 0-17 to 2-8.

They will play Toomevara in the final this Saturday 24th September in Nenagh at 3.00pm

Under 14: Pride of place this week goes to the U14 hurlers of Lorrha/Shannon Rovers Gaels who won the County 'B' title following a 1-10 to 1-2 win over Boherlahan-Dualla in Dolla on Saturday. It was a very impressive performance with Colm Fogarty getting the first half goal. Well done to the team led by captain James Guinan and their selectors JP Houlihan, Dessie Clancy, Garrett Needham, Noel Clarke and first aider Louise Mannion.
