Lorrha GAA News for 26 May

Senior: The senior hurlers fell to their first defeat in the County League last Wednesday evening with a 1-12 to 0-11 loss to Burgess in Moatfield. Lorrha's next game is away to Kilruane MacDonaghs on the weekend of 10th June.

Junior: Hard luck to the Junior 'B' hurlers who were defeated 1-13 to 0-13 by Portroe in the North League final in Puckane on Saturday evening. The championship will begin on weekend 25-27 May at home to Silvermines.

Under 12: The Under 12 hurling championship is due to start this Friday, 1st June. No fixtures at time of going to press.

Lotto & Tipperary Draw Package: The new Tipperary Clubs Draw start date has been put back to this Friday 25th May. Last year, the club had 153 subscribers and we are looking to increase that figure with half the ticket sales staying with the club. There has been a great response so far and if you still want to join, there is still time by contacting coordinator Margaret Gleeson or any club official.

We are also have a special package where those who join the Tipp Draw and the Lorrha GAA lotto for one year, can do so for €180 (52 lotto draws for the price of 40). Tipperary: Best of luck to Patrick Maher, Brian Hogan, Eoin McIntyre, John Madden and the Tipperary senior hurling, senior football and minor hurling teams who continue their Munster championship campaigns against Cork next weekend.

Cul Camp: This years Kellogg's Cul Camp in Lorrha takes place from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th July. Registration only online at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie. Cost is €60 for 1st child; €50 for 2nd child; €40 for 3rd and subsequent children.

Lotto: The jackpot is €3,900 with a Match 3 pot of €100. You can play online at www.locallotto.ie.

Social Dancing: in the GAA Centre on Friday night to the music of Checkers. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Reddan family, on the death of Mat Reddan, Lorrha, who passed away last week. May he rest in peace.
