Senior Hurling: Ken Hogan will manage the senor hurling team for 2009. His selectors will be confirmed over the coming weeks.

Christmas ideas: There are still some of the new jerseys available but stocks are running out fast so get yours as an ideal Christmas present.
Jerseys: 2 x size 5-6 – €35; 5 x size 9-10 – €35; 1 x small – €45; 2 x XL – €45; 1 x medium – €45; 2 x XXL – €45. Polo-shirts, 2 x XL – €15. Juvenile jacket size 10-11 is €30. Club crested shorts, 2 x 36 inch are €15 and socks are also available while stocks last. All can be purchased from Shane Brophy on 086-0515324.

Dinner Dance: Our Annual GAA Dinner Dance takes place in the County Arms Hotel, Birr on Saturday, 10 January 2009 where our senior hurlers will be presented with their division two hurling league medals. Tickets are €30 and can be bought from any committee member.

Tipperary Yearbook: The Tipperary GAA Yearbook is now on sale at €10 and is a must for all GAA supporters.

All lotto draws now take place in the GAA Clubhouse on a Monday night. The draw takes place around 10pm and all are welcome to attend.

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues in the GAA Clubhouse on St. Stephen’s Night to the music of the Lisdoonvarna Countryman. Dancing on Friday, 2 January to Brian McDermott. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Hogan family, Ballymacgan and the Kennedy family, Ballingarry on the sudden passing of Peader Kennedy over the weekend. Peader was captain of the Lorrha/Knockshegowna Under 21 team that won the county title in 1966. May he rest in peace.
Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Sullivan family on the death of Martin “Murty” Sullivan who died last week. May he rest in peace.
