Lorrha GAA News for 27 September

November 8, 2018

Junior: Lorrha 1-14 Toomevara 0-10
Our Junior hurlers produced an excellent performance to come from behind to reach the North Junior ‘A’ Hurling Final by beating Toomevara in Cloughjordan on Saturday last.
Lorrha started poorly and were five points to one down after twenty minutes but good scores from Conor Sullivan, Cian Hogan and Willie Hough ensured the gap was just one point at half time.
Defensively, Lorrha were superb after half time and quickly cancelled out the deficit wit points from Sullivan, Hough, Brendan Coen and Patrick Hough. An injury time goal from William Hough sealed the win.
Lorrha will take on either Moneygall or Kildangan on the final on weekend 4-5 October after their replay ended level.

U21: The Under 21 Championship will resume soon and all players that have been missing from the training field in recent months are to make a return ahead of the semi-final against Templederry.
