Lorrha GAA News for 29 October

U21: Lorrha will take on either Shannon Rovers Gaels or Toomevara in the Losers Group Final on this Bank Holiday Monday in Cloughjordan at 2.30pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors. All support greatly appreciated.

Thomas MacDonaghs: Well done to Kevin Maher who lined out at right half back for Thomas MacDonaghs in their county senior football championship semi-final win over Clonmel Commercials in Holycross Sunday last. Thomas MacDonaghs are now through to the county final where they will take on Moyle Rovers in Cashel on Sunday, 6 November. All support for the team which includes Lorrha as part of it’s make-up would be appreciated.
Ahead of the final, MacDonaghs are holding a fundraising poker classic in McGrath’s, Puckane on this Friday night, 28 October at 9.00pm. Your support would be appreciated.

Scrap Metal: The club are holding a scrap metal collection day on next Saturday, 29 October at the Clubhouse from 1.00 – 5.00pm. If anyone has anything of any kind they want to get rid of, it can be brought to this collection point or if it is substantial, please contact any committee member and it can be collected.
We will gratefully accept donations of a wide range of metal, iron or steel items no longer in use such as old equipment, machinery or cars, containers, utensils, pots, pans, sink tops, radiators, pipes, barrels, garden furniture, garden toys, bicycles, gates, fencing wire, etc.

Lotto: The numbers drawn this week were: 3 – 11 – 24 – 28. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Bridget Sullivan, Nancy Carroll, Ber Mannion, Martina Houlihan and Anne Reddish.

All Stars: Well done to Patrick ‘Bonner’ Maher on his All Star nomination despite not being selected on the All Star team itself last Friday night.

Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: Congratulations to both Ger Slevin and Joe Cleary, Rathcabbin, who each won €200 in the October Tipperary GAA Club’s draw held last Friday night. So far this year, four prizes have come back to the club in the first six draws. With the AGM approaching we ask all promoters to bring their accounts up to date and contact coordinator Margaret Gleeson.

AGM: With the AGM approaching, final accounts will be prepared in the coming weeks, anyone with outstanding issues is to contact Treasurer, William Harding.
