Lorrha GAA News for 3 September

Junior Hurling: The Junior 'B' hurlers progressed past Ballinahinch on a 1-24 to 0-5 scoreline in the North Championship quarter final in Puckane last Friday evening. They will play Portroe in the semi-final on Saturday 10th September.

Under 21: All Under 21 players are asked to attend training with the juniors as the championship will get underway in late September.

Minor: Lorrha Rovers Gaels received a walkover from Ballina last week which brings their campaign to an end as they cannot make the semi-finals. Thanks to the players and mentors for their work this season.

Under 16: Lorrha Rovers defeated Borris-Ileigh 2-23 to 1-10 to win their fourth game out of seven to progress to the quarter finals where they win play Silvermines in Ballinderry on Tuesday 6th September at 6.30pm

Under 14: Well done to Lorrha Rovers Gaels who qualified for the North 'B' Hurling final and will play Ballinahinch/Templederry in the final in Dolla on Saturday 3rd September at 12 noon.

Under 12: Hard luck to the U12's who lost 3-8 to 1-7 to Gortnahoe/Glengoole in the County final last Sunday in Holycross. Despite falling short, the team has enjoyed Great success this season winning two North titles and can look forward to the higher grades with confidence. Well done to their mentors Denis Duffy, Caroline O'Brien, Michael O'Meara and John Moylan for their work with the team.

Tipperary: Best of luck to Patrick Maher, Brian Hogan, John Madden and both the Tipperary senior and minor hurling teams in Sunday's All Ireland Finals. Let's see plenty of blue and gold up throughout the parish to get behind the team.
