Lorrha GAA News for 30 September

Junior: The Junior hurlers are through to the North 'B' semi-final and will play Ballina this Saturday 30th September in Puckane at 5.00pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors

Under 21: The North U21 'B' Hurling Championship game against Silvermines has been put back to Sunday 1st October at 12.00pm in Borrisokane. Check with club regarding the game as may not go ahead due to the Junior B semi-final.

Under 13: In the second round of the Plate, the U13's played Kiladangan last Monday week and won 2-12 to 1-4. Lorrha received a walkover from Shannon Rovers. Lorrha now face a playoff with Ballinahinch/Templederry to see who reaches the final.

Under 11: The U11's hosted Burgess in Moatfield last Friday and 1-9 to 1-4. They now progress to the final where they will be play Newport in Nenagh this Friday evening at 6.15pm.

Fundraiser: The clubs 2500-to-1 fundraising draw with a prize fund of €10,000 is nearing an end. We have 2,500 tickets valued from 1 cent to 2500 cents (€25) and when you accept to take a ticket, you scratch off a hidden section and the value in this section is what you pay for the ticket, it could be 1 cent, €25, or any value in between. All tickets bought will be entered into a draw for a top prize of €5,000 with eleven other prizes ranging from €2,000 to €200. Your support would be appreciated.

Social Dancing: continues on Friday with music of Pat & Ritchie, from 9.30pm til late.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Coughlan and Larkin families on the death of Annie Coughlan, Gurteen, Rathcabbin, who passed away last week. May they rest in peace.
