Lorrha GAA News for 4 February

Auction: The club would like to thank everyone who supported our annual Auction last Sunday which was a tremendous success with all items bought for good prices, helped by a very good auctioneer in Cllr Michael O'Meara. We would like to thank all those who donated timber, turf, feed stuffs, it was very much appreciated. Also to all those club officers and players who split and loaded the timber over the last week, a very well done.

Coaching Course: Foundation Course being run in Lorrha GAA Complex on Monday's 6th & 13th February, contact Tom Kennedy on 087-9191689 to confirm your place.

Juvenile Medal Presentation: on Saturday 4th February at 7.00pm in Moatfield. All welcome to attend as the U12's U14's will be presented with their Hurling Championship medals on the night.

Senior: Lorrha were drawn with Holycross/Ballycahill and Knockavilla Kickhams in our roinn 2 group in the County Championship. These games will take place in April and May.

In the County League, Lorrha will face JK Brackens away in the opening round on Sunday 12th March. Ballina, Roscrea, Burgess and Holycross/Ballycahill are also in the group.

Under 21 Football: Lorrha have been drawn against Ballinahinch/Templederry in the quarter final of the North U21 'B' Football Championship and this game will be played on weekend 11-12 February.

Minor Football: Lorrha Rovers Gaels have been drawn with Kilruane MacDonaghs and Burgess in the North Minor 'B' Football Championship and this championship is likely to begin in mid March.

Membership: for 2017 is now due. €90 – Adult player; €50 – Minor/College student; €30 – Non-playing Adult (+€70 extra for gym membership); €20 – Juvenile (16 and under); €90 – Family (2 adults and 2 children, capped at €100 for three or more children).

Closing date for membership for all adult and juvenile players is the last day of February to be insured in training and games while the closing date for all membership is 31st March. It is important to remember that our total number of adult members by 31st March is the number the County Board will use towards our ticket allocations for Tipperary games so it is in your interest to have membership paid by then. Membership can be paid to club registrar Louise Mannion or can also be done online at www.locallotto.ie. Members can also log onto www.grma.gaa.ie to get their new GAA Rewards card.

Tipperary Draw: Congratulations to Brian Mannion who won €200 in the Tipperary Clubs Draw Confined draw for January.
