Lorrha GAA News for 4 September

Lotto: Our jackpot has reached a record high of€20,000. The jackpot cannot go any higher so it will remain at €20,000 until itis won. If it rolls over, the new jackpot will be rising by €150 per week.

Thanks to everyone whois supporting our lotto, which is the clubs main source of fundraising. Withthe jackpot currently high, the number of players is growing by the week,particularly online on www.locallotto.iewhere it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.  

 

Senior: Theseniors O’Riain Cup Quarter Final against Nenagh Éire Óg been confirmed for Monday night, 13 September in Semple Stadium @ 8pm.

 

U21: The U21‘A’ semi-final against Kilruane MacDonagh’s has been deferred to a later date.

 

Minor Hurling: The Minors will take on Newport in the Minor ‘B’ Hurling Championship semi-final in Toomevara on Wednesday, 8 September @ 6.30pm..

 

U16: Best ofLuck to the Under 16’s in their North ‘A’ semi-final against Nenagh Éire Ógthis Saturday morning September 4th in Cloughjordan @ 11am.

 

U12: TheUnder 12’s have played two games in the Plate competition in recent weeks. Theywere beaten by Silvermines in round one and Borrisokane in round 2

 

Inter-county: Best of Luck to Patrick Maher and the rest of the Tipperary seniorhurling team and management in this Sunday’s All Ireland Final.

Well done to Philip Hogan who was on theTipperary Under 16 team that won the All Ireland title last weekend. BrianHogan was also on the Tipp Under 14 team that competed in the Tony Forrestaltournament.

 

All Ireland Tickets: Tickets for the All Ireland Hurling Final on 5 September will beissued to fully paid up club members only. A draw will take place on Wednesday,1 September (tonight) in the Clubhouse at 9.15pm sharp. 

 

Tipperary Training Fund Draw: Tickets are on sale for the Tipperary Training Fund Draw. Tickets are €20 each or a book of 6 for €100and can be bought from Shane Brophy and Kevin Hough.

 

Farewell: Lorrha GAA Club would like to say farewell toour Vice-President of 12 years, Fr. Joe Kennedy and wish him well in his newparish in Dunkerrin. We also welcome Fr. Pat Mulcahy to the parish.

 

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music of J&SSound. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

 

Sympathy: LorrhaGAA Club would like to sympathise with the family and friends of Bill Cashin whodied last week. May he rest in peace.
