Lorrha GAA News for 7 April

Senior: With Tipperary progressing to the final of the Allianz Hurling League, Lorrha's upcoming schedule has been confirmed. Firstly, they will play Moycarkey/Borris in the Seamus O Riain Cup on Sunday 15th April in Moneygall at 2.00pm.

The North Championship first round game against Kilruane MacDonaghs will be played on weekend 21-22 April

Junior: Lorrha's game against Ballinahinch on Easter Monday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Next Friday, Lorrha play Kiladangan in Puckane at 7.00pm

Under 21 Hurling: The first round of the North Tipp Under 21 'B' Hurling Championship will be played over weekend 4-8 May with Lorrha drawn away to Shannon Rovers Gaels in a knockput/losers group format.

Minor Hurling: Lorrha Rovers Gaels start their Minor 'A' Hurling campaign on Thursday 12th April at home to Ballina.

Under 16: Lorrha Rovers Gaels were due to begin their U16 campaign on Easter Monday against Ballinahinch/Templederry but the game was rained off. Next Monday, 9th April, they are away to Inane Rovers in Roscrea at 6.45pm

Under 14: Lorrha began their U14 'B' Football Championship last Wednesday with a gritty 0-6 to 0-5 win over Kiladangan in Moatfield. Next Wednesday, 11th, Lorrha are due to play Newport in Moatfield at 6.45pm

Under 12: The U12 football championship continued on Friday last the 'B' team hosting Borrisokane and enjoyed a comfortable win while the 'D' team lost to Ballinahinch. Lorrha have a bye this Friday before resuming away to Burgess on Friday 13th April.

Coach Eduction: A coaching session with a trained coach will take place for the under 12's on Tuesday 17th April, for those doing the Level 1 coaching course. Anyone else is welcome to attend on the evening to observe. For more information, contact juvenile chairman Tommy Kennedy 0879191689
