Lotto: The numbers drawn last week were: 2 – 12 – 16 – 21. No Winner. The Lucky Dips were: Ann Egan, Ann Kennedy, Joan Quinn, Shane Mannion and PJ Nevin. The Promoters prizes went to Billy Dagg, Mark Carroll and Geraldine O’Meara
Our jackpot reached a record high of €20,000 this week. The jackpot cannot go any higher so it will remain at €20,000 until it is won. If it rolls over, the new jackpot of €3000 will be rising by €150 per week.
Thanks to everyone who is supporting our lotto, which is the clubs main source of fundraising. With the jackpot currently high, the number of players is growing by the week, particularly online on www.locallotto.ie where it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.

Senior: The seniors emerged one-point winners (2-11 to 1-13) over Ballybcaon/Grange in the O’Riain Cup on Sunday. (See Match Report). Lorrha will now play in the quarter final on Sunday, 22 August.

Junior: The Junior ‘A’s take on Nenagh Eire Og in the final group game in Cloughjordan on this Saturday evening @ 7pm. Lorrha need a win to make the quarter finals.

U21: The U21 ‘A’ semi-final against Kilruane MacDonagh’s has been deferred to a later date.

Minor Hurling: The minor hurlers return to action on Thursday, 12 August with an away game against Portroe @ 7pm.

U16: The U16’s lost their second game to a good Toomevara team, 3-18 to 1-10 in Moatfield last Monday. They took in Kildangan on Bank Holiday Monday and recorded a good 0-15 to 0-11 win. Their fourth game comes this Monday, 9 August v Nenagh Éire Óg in Moatfield @ 7pm.

U14: Best of luck to the Under 14’s when they take on Shannon Rovers Gaels in the North semi-final on this Saturday, 7 August. Check Bord na nOg fixtures for throw-in time.

Inter-county: Well Done to Ken Hogan (manager) and players Patrick Maher and Ciaran Haugh and the rest of the Tipperary Under 21 set-up for their superb win in last Wednesday’s Munster Under 21 Hurling Final. They will now face Antrim in the All Ireland semi-final on Saturday, 21 August.

Tipp v Waterford Tickets: Orders for Tipperary v Waterford tickets MUST be with Shane Brophy (087-6989612) by Sunday, 8 August. Special Club Pass tickets for the Davin Stand cost €10 and will be given out on a first come, first served basis. The club can only get a maximum of 50 of these tickets and they have to be ordered from Croke Park first thing next Monday so we need orders by Sunday night.
Stand tickets cost €45 with student and senior citizens stand costing €30 for Cusack and Davin stands only. Terrace tickets cost €30. Family tickets are available at a rate of €45 adult and €5 juvenile and are available only for Davin Stand and designated sections of Cusack Stand.

Parish Golf Outing: This years Lorrha Parish Golf Outing takes place in Portumna Golf Club on Saturday, 28 August. This years President is Michael Liffey while Captain is Eugene Kennedy. More details in the coming weeks.

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music of Pat Conlon. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
