Senior: The seniors are through to round 2 of the county championship following a 4-15 to 0-13 win over Carrick Davins in Templemore on Saturday. The win secures our senior status for next year but with the panel getting stronger with each game, the seniors are eager to go deep into the championship. We will play one of the losing divisional semi-finalists when the draw is made next week.
Junior Hurling: The Juniors suffered a heavy defeat to Nenagh Eire Óg in the second round of the championship on Saturday evening. We now face a must win game against Burgess this Saturday evening in Cloughjordan if we are to retain any hope of reaching the quarter finals. Throw-in @ 7.30pm.
Minor Hurling: Lorrha Rovers game with Kilruane MacDonaghs due to have been played this Thursday has been postponed.
Under 16: Lorrha will begin their U16 hurling campaign against Portroe on this Sunday, 8th July in Moatfield @ 3.00pm
Under 12: The U12’s ended the group stages of the Premier 12s hurling unbeaten following a 2-10 to 2-4 win over Ballinahinch in Shallee on Friday last. Lorrha now await their semi-final opponents.
Munster Hurling Final Tickets: Tickets for the Munster senior and minor hurling finals at Pairc Ui Chaoimh involving Tipperary can now be ordered from Shane Brophy on 0876989612. All orders must be in by next Sunday night, 8th July.
The prices are as follows: Covered Stand - €30; Uncovered Stand - €25; Terrace - €15; Family Adult Covered Stand €30 + Juveniles €5; Family Adult UnCovered €25 + Juveniles €5; Family Adult Terrace €15 + Juvenile €5. Student/OAP - Concession on Stand Tickets only – pay full price and get a refund of €10 at specified Stiles on the day (on production of valid I.D.).
Patrons are advised if you do not purchase your tickets in advance and buy them on the day in Cork, tickets for all sections will be €5 dearer so book early to save money.
Tipperary: Well done to both the Tipperary senior footballers and minor hurlers on their victories over the past week. We wish the minor footballers the best of luck this Sunday as they aim to defend their Munster title when they take on Kerry in the final in Limerick.
Cúl Camp: This years Kellogg’s Cul Camp will be held in Moatfield from 16-20 July from 10am-2.30pm daily. Cost is €55 for 1 child; €100 for 2 children; €140 for 3 children. The camp is open to juveniles between the ages of 6 & 13. Each juvenile will get a Kellogg’s Cúl Camp jersey and gear bag. First Aid and Defibrillator Training: Anyone interested in taking part in this training course is to contact Shane Brophy (0876989612).
