Senior: The senior hurlers were edged out by one point by Mullinahone in the Senior Challenge Cup in Mullinahone last Sunday. Lorrha now progress into the losers section where they will play either Clonoulty/Rossmore or Upperchurch/Drombane on St Patrick's weekend
Under 21 Football: Lorrha were due to host Ballina this weekend but this game looks set to be put back by one week.
Under 14: The U14's begin their Football Championship campaign on Wednesday, 26 March against Portroe in Moatfield
Under 12: The U12's begin their football campaign against Burgess in Moatfield on Saturday, 22nd March.
North Tipp: Michael Dolan was a member of the North Tipp U16 Football team who took part in the County Divisional tournament last Saturday in Thurles.
Membership: Rates were also confirmed with all inclusive of Gym membership: €90 – Adult player; €50 – Minor/College student; €30 – Non-playing Adult (+€70 extra for gym membership for 12 months); €20 – Juvenile (16 and under); €90 – Family (2 adults and 2 children, capped at €100 for three or more children).
All adult and juvenile players need to be insured before they take part in games to be covered by the Players Injury Scheme. The closing date for all membership is 31st March; with all members then being entered into a draw for 2 All Ireland Hurling Final tickets. National Draw: Closing date for the sale of tickets is fast approaching on 7th March as ticket stubs have to be in Dublin for the main draw on St Patrick's Day. Tickets are €10 each with prizes ranging from a trip to Australia for the International Rules series next October to trips to New York, All Ireland final tickets etc. There will also be an in-club fund for those who buy their tickets for the draw. A prize fund of €500 has been set aside but if we sell 1000 or more tickets, the prize fund will rise to €1000. The In-club draw will take place at a special Irish Night in the Clubhouse on Sunday, 16th March on the eve of St Patrick's Day.
Funds raised from the draw will go towards repairing the damage to the goalposts and nets damaged by the storm before Christmas. Tickets are on sale from club officers and all the adult players. Your support is appreciated.
