Senior: Hard luck to our senior hurlers who went down by one point to Roscrea in round three of the County Senior Hurling Championship in Cloughjordan on Sunday on a 2-12 to 1-14. The club would like to thank the players and mentors for their effort throughout the year, particularly after picking things up mid-season after a disappointing North Championship. Also a speedy recovery to Cian Hogan who suffered a nasty head injury during the game.
Junior Football: Lorrha took on Inane Rovers in the first round of the North Junior ‘A’ Football Championship in Ballinderry on Tuesday evening. News next week. Borrisokane are also in our group and that game take place in Ballingarry on Saturday, 15 September at 3.00pm
Minor Hurling: Lorrha Rovers take on Kilruane MacDonaghs in the next round of the Minor ‘A’ Hurling Championship on Friday, 14 September at 6.00pm.
Under 16: Lorrha lost 4-15 to 3-12 to Borrisokane in their final group game in the Under 16 ‘B’ Hurling. Despite failing to win a game, Lorrha performed well and could have won at least four of the games. There is plenty of potential for the future. Thanks to the players and mentors for their efforts.
Tipperary: Well done to the Tipperary Intermediate hurlers in their All Ireland Final victory over Kilkenny in Thurles last Saturday evening.
Best of luck to the Tipperary minor hurlers in this Sunday’s All Ireland final against Dublin in Croke Park.
