Our jackpot now stands at €15,000. If our jackpot is not won, it will be capped at €15,000 with the roll over going onto the new jackpot which will start at €5,550. Senior: Well done to our senior hurlers who recorded a 3-10 to 2-12 victory over JK Brackens in the County Championship. The win sees up top the group and progress to the last 16 where we will play one of the Roinn 1 group winners which at the moment include Nenagh, Drom & Inch and Kildangan. The win also ensures we will play in Roinn 1 in 2015.

Junior Hurling: Lorrha face Toomevara in round 3 of the North Junior 'B' Hurling Championship in Cloughjordan, this Sunday at 6.30pm.

Minor: The Minor hurlers lost 1-11 to 0-11 to Shannon Rovers Gaels on Friday evening in Borrisokane in a game played in miserable conditions. Our next game is against Burgess on Thursday, 14th August in Cloughjordan at 6.30pm.

Under 14: Best of luck to the U14's who face Portroe this Friday in the final of the North 'C' Hurling Championship in Portroe at 7pm.

All Ireland Semi-Final Tickets: The deadline for ordering tickets for the All Ireland semi-final between Tipperary and Cork has now passed. Anyone who is still looking for tickets should now go to Centra, SuperValu or online at www.tickets.ie

Parish Golf Outing: The Lorrha Parish Golf Outing takes place in Portumna Golf Club on Saturday, 16th August with tee-times from 8.30am to 12pm. This years captain is Vincent Liffey while the President is Joe Morris. To book a tee time contact Vincent Liffey (0873328577) or Tony Coen (0876219639).

Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Sam O'Doherty. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am. There are also Social Dancing classes each Wednesday night in the GAA Centre from 8-11pm for both beginners and those looking to improve.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the family and friends of Johnny Madden, Graigue, Rathcabbin, who died last week. May he rest in peace.
