Social Night & Car Draw Deferred: Due to the start of the County League this weekend, our Fundraising Car Draw, Social Night and Senior hurling medal presentation has been deferred by three weeks to Easter Sunday night, 8th April. All tickets for the Car Draw remain valid. Top prize is a Volkswagon Polo (kindly supplied by Al Hayes Motors, Portumna) with second and third prizes of 42” and 28” Flat Screen TV’s. There will also be a 28” Flat Screen TV for the seller of the winning ticket for the car. The Promoter that sells the most tickets will get €150 and voucher for The Thatch Cottage, Ballycommon.
Tickets are €20 each or three for €50. Tickets can be bought from any committee member or can be bought on online on our club page on www.locallotto.ie.
Membership: The closing date is March 31st. All are to sign-up before this as it will count towards our Tipperary ticket allocation, and all those that sign up before the end of March will be entered into a draw for 2 Stand Tickets to the All Ireland Hurling Final. Adult Player – €50; Non-Playing Adult – €30; Students & Minors – €20; Juveniles (16 & under) – €15; Family Membership (2 Adults & 2 Juveniles) – €80. Each additional child is €10 each. All players must have their membership paid before leagues begins. Membership is payable to registrar Tadhg Nevin or online on our club page on www.locallotto.ie
Lotto: Our jackpot new stands at €15,700. Thank you for your continued support. You can also play our lotto online at www.myclubfinances.com where it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.
Senior: Lorrha travel to Cappawhite in the opening round of Division 1 of the County League on Monday next, 19th March @ 5pm.
Lorrha will play Burgess in the first round of the North Senior Hurling Championship on weekend 7-9 April. Toomevara, Templederry, Portroe and Borrisokane are also in our group with the top three teams progressing to the knockout stages.
Junior: The Junior ‘A’ hurlers will host Moneygall in the first round of the North League on the first weekend in April. Borris-Ileigh (away) and Nenagh Eire Óg (home) are also in our group. The top two in the group will progress to the semi-finals.
Under 21: The U21 hurlers were drawn to meet holders Burgess in the first round of the U21 ‘A’ Hurling. The game will take place in July at the earliest.
Minor: Lorrha Rovers will travel to Nenagh in the first round of the Minor ‘A’ Football Championship on the first week in April. Kildangan (home) and Ballina (away) are also in the group with the top two progressing to the final.
Under 16: The U16’s went down to Silvermines in the first round of the football championship last Sunday afternoon on a scoreline of 5-6 to 2-2. Next game v Templederry in Moatfield on next Sunday, 18th March @ 12 noon.
Under 8: Training continues on Friday in the Sports Hall, Moatfield @ 6.45pm. Children must wear runners, shinguards and helmets.
Best of Luck: to Ken Hogan and the Coolderry team in the All Ireland Club final on St. Patrick’s Day. Best of luck also to Aaron Hogan, Eoin McIntyre and the Portumna Community School teams in the All Ireland Colleges semi-final this weekend.

Old Time Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Pat & Ritchie. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Reddish family on the death of William Reddish, Ballea, who died over the weekend. May he rest in peace.
