LUCAN SARSFIELDS’ CLUB NOTES MONDAY August 20th 2012
Well done to our U-13 Footballers on winning the Rose Cup in Tralee last Saturday beating Stacks in the final 1-4 to 0-4 whilst accounting for Dr. Crokes along the way. They won all five games against the best teams from Kerry and only conceded 1 goal throughout the tournament. Congratulations to our minor football manager and junior footballer Kenny Wade and his wife Joanne on the birth of their son. Thanks to John Dalton of Dalton and Co. auctioneers for his generous sponsorship of a set of jerseys for our Junior Footballers. The sponsorship of our weekly Lotto is up for renewal again. We are inviting local businesses and traders to get involved in sponsoring the Lotto, as a very good way to promote their business while also supporting the Club. Rates range from €60 for 1 week up to €200 for 6 weeks. The Sponsor’s name is highlighted on the Lotto tickets as well as the weekly Result sheets, the weekly Club Notes in the Lucan Newsletter, The Lucan Gazette, The Liffey Champion, The Lucan Echo, Tuesday’s Evening Herald Club Notes, Liffey Sound FM and the Clubs own website and email circulations to members. Contact Paul Stapleton if interested. We have a new Twitter account and you can follow us at twitter.com/GAALucan ..Our annual Family Funday has been set for Saturday 15th September. We are now looking for donations of bottles, bags, dvds ect for the stalls. All can be left behind the bar or in the wheelie bin inside the front door of the clubhouse. Summer opening times for our club shop are Tuesdays 7:30 to 8:30pm. There will be no Thursday night or Saturday morning openings for the month of August. This weeks lotto numbers 1-11-25-28.
