LUCAN SARSFIELDS’ CLUB NOTES MONDAY JANUARY 21st 2013
Membership is now due and can be paid online through our website www.lucansarsfields.ie or at the clubhouse bar. There will be a strict no pay no play policy in place this year. Lucan Sarsfields are delighted to announce their forthcoming main event fundraiser ‘12th Lock FIGHT NIGHT’. This is a White Collar Boxing event, where 36 club members (including All-Ireland winning former Dublin footballer Paul Casey and former TD Paul Gogarty) will take part in a boxing extravaganza. NB: Each of the boxers is fighting on behalf of a Club Team(s). The event is taking place in a circus-style Big Top Tent on Saturday, 9th March in Lucan Sarsfields. Standard seating tickets cost €25. There are also a limited number of ringside seats available for €30. Tickets are available on line through the Lucan Sarsfields website. We are pleased to announce that for every club member who books a course in Colaiste Laichtin for July and August the club will receive €100. The Feile committee of 2013 is organizing a ‘Buy a dress’ fundraiser in the clubhouse on 1st February 2013. We need you to donate your unwanted dresses for the occasion. We are looking for dresses that are in good, saleable condition, dresses that for some reason or another you will never wear again.You can donate your dress directly to the following people: Tracey Walsh 087-9735665, Audrey Coffey 087-6538970, Mary Reynolds 087-7687376 .We are currently looking for boys born in 2004 to play hurling and football with us. 2004 Football training takes place on Tuesdays at 6:15 and 2004 Hurling training takes place on Thursdays at 6pm. We play matches on Saturday mornings. Our nurseries for boys and girls born in 2006,2007 and 2008 continue every Saturday at 1.30pm on our all weather pitch at The 12th Lock. Camogie nursery at 2:15pm for girls aged 6 and over. This is your child’s chance to be coached by Dublin Senior Hurling Captain Johnny McCaffrey. The Adult Awards Night will be held this Saturday 26th January 2013. Set dancing continues each Wednesday at 8.30pm. 25 Card Drive continues every Friday night in the Clubhouse, €5 entry, 1st prize €50. All welcome.This weeks lotto numbers 1-3-21-24. No winner. Next weeks jackpot €11,000. Josephine Donohue’s team will be in charge next Sunday night when our sponsor will be John Ryan Accountant.
