Well done to out Under 13 Girls Football Team who won the league last Thursday night by defeating St. Monicas in a thrilling final played in Edenmore in horrendous conditions. Congratulations to St Mary’s BNS and Lucan Sarsfields juvenile hurlers, Ben Coffey, Luke Walsh, Daire Newcombe, Niall Moynihan, Chris Costa, Emmet Allen, Colm Walsh, Matthew Dunne, Ruairi Connolly and Edward Connolly who represented Dublin against Kilkenny at half-time in the Leinster Senior Hurling Semi-Final between Dublin and Kilkenny in O’Moore Park, Portlaoise. Congratulations also to the girls from St. Marys GNS who represented Dublin in the camogie match at half time in Portlaoise. We are starting a new section in the club this coming September. This section will cater for children with intelectual disabilities between the ages of 6 and 10 years. We need to recruit 15 volunteers to assist us with this new section. Our annual Family Funday has been set for Saturday 15th September.We are holding a meeting on Tuesday 26th of June in the Clubhouse at 8pm.Our Clubhouse is 10 years old this month and to mark the occasion, Club President Mick Molloy is hosting a “Mid-Summer Barn Dance” on Saturday night June 30th. This will be an open-air event (weather permitting), with live music, dancing, bar facilities, finger food and open fires in a traditional out-door “country” style. It promises to be a great Club night and tickets are available from the bar or any social committee member at just €5. Lucan Sarsfields Family sponsored cycle takes place on Saturday June 30th at 2.30pm. All are welcome to take part, and sponsorship cards can be collected from bar or from website in the download menu. The cycle itself is from 12th Lock to 3 rd Lock via Grand Canal Cycleway. This year’s golf classic will be held on Friday July 20th at Lucan Golf Club. You can now register for our summer camps on our website . Summer opening times for our club shop are Tuesdays 7:30 to 8:30pm and Saturday mornings (except bank holiday weekends) 10:30 to 11:30am. There will be no Thursday night openings for the months of June, July and August. Our nurseries for boys and girls born in 2005,2006 and 2007 finish up for the summer break this Saturday .This weeks lotto numbers 1-7-15-24. No winner. Next week’s jackpot will be €9000.
