LUCAN SARSFIELDS’ CLUB NOTES MONDAY May 13th 2013

Best of luck to both our U-14 hurling teams taking part in Feile this Saturday. The A team will play division 1 in Carrickhill starting at 10;30 and are grouped with Ballyboden, St. Vincents and Naomh Mearnog while the 12th Lock will host division 6 with our B team, Erin go Bragh, Round Towers and St Pats.

Senior hurlers play Craobh Chiarain in a do or die championship match this Thursday in Parnell Park at 6:45pm. All support welcome.

Well done to our senior camogie team who reached this year's Leinster Senior A club final. They will play Camross, Co Laois in the final.

Our next hurling coaching coursecourse is on this coming Wednesday at 7pm on the AWP. Johnny McCaffery will be providing this course on Defensive Drills and Skills.

Our second golf outing to Tulfarris takes place next Saturday. To book a slot call Gerry at 0860560111 immediately. Plans are at an advanced stage for our club classic on Friday June 21st at Lucan Golf Club. This year we have some exceptional prizes. The first person lucky enough to 'ace' the par three 7th hole will receive a magnificent Toyota Yaris car from McCoy Motors, Lucan. The other hole-in-one prizes are: 16th hole a 3 night golf holiday at The Mariott Praia del Rey, Portugal; 11th hole a 2 night golf trip for 4 players to Marriott Forest of Arden; 4th hole a set of Callaway Razor irons. The cost for a team of 3 is €180 from 8.30 am to 10.20, €210 from 10.30am to 1pm and €250 for the afternoon. To book a slot call Michael at 0872331983.

Best of luck to all of our U-8's and U-9's who make their first holy communion this Saturday.

This years Street Leagues will take place on Tuesday 28th and Friday 31st of May in the 12th Lock. The street leagues are open to boys and girls born in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Registration forms are now available from mentors, the clubouse and our website.

You can now register online for our summer camps at www.lucansarsfields.ie.

The closing date for entry to our all ireland forecast competition is Friday May 17th. Tickets are available from the bar. First prize €400, Second prize €100, third prize €50.

Our nurseries for boys and girls born in 2006,2007 and 2008 continue every Saturday at 1.30pm on our all weather pitch at The 12th Lock. Camogie nursery at 2:15pm for girls aged 6 and over. This is your child's chance to be coached by Dublin Senior Hurling Captain Johnny McCaffrey.

This weeks lotto numbers 2-6-10-13. No Winner. Next weeks jackpot will be €19,000. Mary Flannery's team will be in charge next Sunday night when our sponsor will be Molloys Stores Ballydowd.
