LUCAN SARSFIELDS’ CLUB NOTES MONDAY May 4th 2014

Congratulations to our U14 Football Feile Teams who had great performances at the weekend. Our 1st Team had an excellent win over league rivals in the semi-final on Saturday and were desperately disappointed to go down by a single score to Raheny in the Final in Parnell Pk on Sunday. Our 2nd team played 5 games on Saturday with all players making contributions.

Our Adult Football Teams had solid performances in the last week with our Senior Team drawing away to Isles. Both our Junior Teams had excellent victories in the championship with our Intermediate Team going down to a strong St. Brigid’s Team.
Lucan fielded four senior camogie teams in the week ending Thursday 1st May and recorded three wins while our Divisions Six squad performed very well against good opposition

This week the Championship action switches to Hurling. Our Senior Team was in action on Thursday at 7pm in Rathcoole against Crumlin and recorded a 9 point win.
Congratulations to Emmet O’Conghaile and the Dublin U21 footballers on their All-Ireland win at the weekend.
Our Senior footballers are in Championship action this Wednesday against Parnels in Blakestown at 7pm. All support welcomed.
Lucan’s favourite shop is now open in on Thursdays 7:30-8:30 and Saturday’s 12pm – 3:30pm, with the online version open 24/7.
Many thanks to everyone who support our Strictly Sarsfields event on Saturday. It was a huge success and congratulations to our winners Maggie and Stiofan. A special word of thanks must go to everyone who supported all of the fundraisers over the last few weeks and the dancers, choreographers, video team, sound & light team, ushers, vote sellers, voting scrutineers, sponsors, advertisers, printers and particularly the organising committee.
