Our U8 footballers took to the field again with four great games against Kilmacud Crokes on Saturday morning on the All Weather Pitch.

On Saturday morning last the U9 boy’s footballers entertained 3 teams from Ballyboden St Enda's on our AWP. The matches were played in ideal conditions and the Lucan teams spurred on by good home support played some superb football. A combination of hard work, tough tackling, good point taking and a great team ethic saw the boys in green run out comfortable winners in all 3 matches.

Once again some of our U-10 fixtures fell foul of the weather with our group 1 two team game against Thomas Davis and our group 3 two team game versus Ballinteer being called off. Our group 2 two team group travelled to Ballyboden's all weather facility at Sancta Maria college where they won both their games.

Our U11 footballers were in action against Ballinteer on their new all weather pitch.  Both teams showed excellent skill, which led to highly competitive games.  In the end Ballinteer came out on top.

Our U12 footballers travelled to Skerries on Saturday morning.  Again the conditions were a huge factor with the traditional game of two halves being played out.  When the wind had died down Lucan came away with a narrow two-point victory.

There was a feast of hurling on the All Weather pitch on Sunday.  The U14B hurlers took on St. Vincents at 2pm and came away with a comfortable victory.  Our U13A and B hurlers also had comprehensive wins over Castleknock.

Our nurseries continue every Saturday from 1.30pm at the Clubhouse.  New players are always welcome and registration is just €10 for both Hurling and Football.  This is your chance to participate in a training session led by Dublin Hurling Captain Johnny McCaffrey.  Each week over 150 boys and girls practice their skills and improve their overall physical well being in a safe and controlled environment on our purpose built all weather facility.  Check out our website for more details.

In conjunction with the GAA Lucan Sarsfields is running a fundraising draw on March 17th. There are many great prizes including a trip to Oz with the all stars and premium tickets to the All Ireland finals. Tickets are only €10 with the entire €10 for each ticket sold going to the club.

There was no winner of Sunday night’s €5,500  Lotto. The unlucky numbers were 7, 8, 11, 16. This weeks lotto is for a jackpot of  €6,000 sponsored by O’Grady Hearing Care Services with Frank Masterson’s Team in charge.
