Mayo Gaels were made to fight all the way against a determined Kilmovee side in the third round of the U14 Division 5 League played in Kilmovee on Thursday the 16th of May.
Played in very wet conditions the Gaels struggled to gain a grip on proceedings and were fortunate to lead by 2:04 to 1:06 at the interval.
The Gaels gave an improved second half performance and an impressive final quarter return of 2:03 guaranteed the lads their third win out of three league games.
The Gaels had good performances from John Gallagher and Eoin Duggan while forwards James Jennings, Sean Joyce and hat-trick hero Patrick Morris were the main scoring contributors.
The U14’s next outing is in Abbey Park against Claremorris on Thursday the 23rd of May.
