The Pats started brightly and on the front foot with well taken scores coming in an even manor in an impressive display. The result after twenty minutes was in no doubt as they lead 1-9 to 0-1, the Roche score coming from a long free kick effort from Jason Mulligan. As hard as Roche tried the Pats were winning all the contests around the field with height advantage in all the pivital positions throught the middle of the team and a number of the wing positions. Roche improved to a point before the break but the half time score was a good indication of the balance of play at 1-11 to 0-4. The second half seen the Pats put the result beyond Roche early in this period with a further 1-6. Roche continued to try hard and seen their efforts rewarded with late scores to leave the final score Pats 2-20 Roche 2-7.
