Mixed fortunes for U12s on the road

November 7, 2018

A day of mixed fortunes for the travelling U12’s today. The A-team were just starting their campaign in Division 3 with a long trip to Oldcastle. It proved to be a highly entertaining and close game but ultimately a disappointing result, losing by a single point in the end. however, the team can take great heart at their efforts. This was the first time a number of these players had played together and some players were being played out of their natural positions. But the spirit and quality of the players was evident throughout.

Meanwhile in Bective, the other U12 team took their campaign on the road. This was their second game after a brilliant victory last week against Na Fianna from Enfield. The team really jelled well in the first game and they followed this up with a massive victory – eventually winning by 10-11 to 3-3. Ballivor led from start to finish and can look forward with confidence to the up coming fixtures.
