November 7, 2018

A brace of first half goals from Eanna Brody and mike Corrigan laid the platform for a deserved victory over Drumbaragh at Ballinlough on Sunday

Playing into the wind Shane Brody-less Moylagh found their feet early on and led 1-1 to 0-1 after 10 minutes. The rest of the half was evenly contested with both sides swopping some fine scores notably a fine solo point from stylish midfielder Colm Fanning….. For Moylagh and jimmy Connolly tormenting Moylagh with 1-2 from play. Moylagh led 2-5 to 1-7 at the break.

Despite some early missed chances in the second half a dominant Moylagh opened up an eight point lead thanks to a fortunate goal from Barry Smith and some fine points from Justin O Reilly. To their credit Drumbaragh never gave up and were rewarded for their efforts with a late Mark Smith goal but Moylagh weren’t to be denied and held out for a four point win.
