With the Kids all plying their skills in the DDSL, SDFL and MGL we decided to turn our attention to the Leinster Senior team as they get ready to take on the league and cup. First team manager Paul Perth offered up some insight and opinions on his fine bunch of young men.Hopefully his 6 foot plus and reputation as a non-nonsense centre half will offer him protection as he spills the beans on the first team (feel free to tag a player):

Worst dressed; that’s a flip of a coin between Michael Tracy and Michael mc Donnel. I think i'm gonna go with Michael Mc Donnell here as unlike Frosty, he actually makes an effort but just gets it so wrong.
Biggest Charlie; got to be Michael Mc Loughlin! If we hear the story again about Alan Curbishly (or curbs as he calls him) making him a sandwich while he was over on trial with Charlton zzzzzzzzzzz….plus kids if you google Charlton Athletic they were once a premier team

Best trainer; Gonna say Kenny Carr with frosty a very close second.
Worst trainer; Barry Slattery without a shadow of doubt the laziest trainer in the squad!
Biggest poser; has to be Mark Boland! The only lad I know over 6 ft. who squeezes himself into clothes from the kiddie section in the under armour shop.
Worst Barnet (hair- doo) got to be the skipper Davey lane! His barber obviously doesn’t like him!
The lads call him forest gump when he’s not around but don't tell him that!
Grumpiest player: this isn’t easy! Kenny carr and Gary Gurphy would be in the running for this accolade but I’m going to go with Ethan o Neill! Always loves a good moan does Etho.
Best looking lad; i'm sure the lads will agree that’s obviously me!
In saying all that their a fantastic bunch of lads and a pleasure to work with.
The first team are riding high in the league and on track for promotion to the top division plus doing well in the cups and providing the town with serious pride in their football and every player from the Academy kids to the U12s, 14s, and 15s a pathway and something to aspire to. You should come to Station road on a Friday night and give the team your full support. Thanks Paul for taking the time to shed some light on the lads.
