Niall Rynne (St Mary’s College RFC) became the 98th President of the Leinster Branch

Niall is a former pupil of Templeogue College School and has been a member of St Mary’s College RFC for over 30 years and was President of the Club in 2009/10.

He was a club player for 20 years including captaining numerous club sides. He then took up refereeing, as well as becoming heavily involved in club administration, taking on a variety of roles.

He has been involved with the Leinster Branch for over ten years, first with the Junior Committee, then with the Competitions Committee which he chaired for four years.

This season he took on the Chair of the Women’s Rugby Committee, and for many years he has been a member of the Leinster Rugby Standing Committee, as well as being the representative for St Mary’s on the Branch Executive Committee.

Also elected at the AGM were incoming Senior Vice President, Lorcan Balfe (Schools Section), and Junior Vice President Robert Deacon (Old Wesley RFC).
