Co Junior hurling league semifinal.
Our juniors were involved in a very exciting Co. semifinal against South
reps Ballylooby Castlegrace in Bansha on Sunday evening last. Tied at 15
points each at full time both teams gave their all in extra time with
the Ballylooby boys coming out on top by 0-19 to 0-17. Our ladstried
their very best and were a credit to the parish and with a little luck
might just have won on the night . We thank all our supporters who
travelled in good numbers and we wish Ballylooby Castlgrace the very
best in the Co. Final. Check sports pages in the Nationalist for match
report.

Vodafone Support your club programme.
Its common knowledge that the club that works together wins together and
Vodafone have come on board to support GAA clubs with this novel
programme. It’s the easiest way for you to support your club at
absolutely no extra cost to you. All Vodafone customers can sign up to
this scheme and Vodafone will donate 5% of your pay monthly or top up
bill to the Kickham club who are a recognised club on their web page.
If you are not a customer and you wish to make the switch to Vodafone it
will mean even more money for the club. For any of the options it’s only
a matter of contacting Tommy Hayes on 062-62244 or Sean Breen on
062-71131 with your details. Alternatively you can text on your details
to Tommy on 087-7934739 or Sean on 087- 2646441 and you will receive a
text from Vodafone confirming your registration. You can also log on to
www.supportyourgaaclub.ie or go to the Kickhams web page and click on
the link. There are many 087 numbers within the Parish as well as family
members living around the country. This is a very good way of bringing
in much needed funds and all at no cost to the supporter so get calling
and texting now and let family and friends know as soon as possible.
It’s a chance to get involved in your club and only a phone call
away.

Community Games
The county athletics finals were held in Templemore on Sunday last, in
very good weather.
We had a good enjoyable day, and everyone taking part did well. We had
two medal winners: in the U/8 80M Jamie Duncan got bronze, and in the
U14 Long Jump Mary Kinane also got bronze. Well done to both, as the
standard is high at county level.
There were a number of others who qualified through the rounds: Stephen
Browne got through the heats and semi final to make the 100M final
where he was not far outside the medals. Lorcan Carr also qualified for
the 200M finals, and ran very well to get fourth. Both lads are young
enough for next year, so getting that far was a good achievement.
Cormac & Cathal Carr also qualified to the semi-finals of their sprints.
In the 600M John Perdue ran very well and only missed out on the final
by one place.
Others who took part and did well were Caoimhe McCormack, Siobhan
O’Shea, Claire Moore, Daniel O’Shea, Mark Compton & Sinead Ryan.
Thanks to all who helped on the day.

Collection for Crumlin.

There will be a Churchgate collection in aid of Our lady’s Hospital
Crumlin held at all masses in Knockavilla on next weekend the 3rd & 4th
july.Your generous support would be greatly appreciated.
