Offaly Community Games Final

November 8, 2018

Last Wednesday evening 5th May, Edenderry U10 footballers won their third Offaly Community Games title in a row with fine win over Ferbane in Oakland’s School Field.

This was a very tough game with neither side able to score for the first 10 minutes. Edenderry got some nice scores before halftime from Ryan Glynn (1-2), Aaron Mangan (1-1) and Conor Dempsey (0-1) to take a good lead at the break.

Halftime score, Edenderry 2-04 Ferbane 0-00.

Edenderry were on the back foot for much of the second half, as Ferbane threw everything at The Reds, but the defence did brilliantly to hold the Ferbane forwards to just four points. Edenderry’s only score in the second half came from Ryan Glynn who scored an excellent point.

Fulltime score, Edenderry 2-05 Ferbane 0-04.

This was a great team performance by Edenderry, with all 20 players contributing to a wonderful victory over a very good Ferbane team.
