Offaly suffer third league defeat

November 8, 2018

Dublin easily accounted for 14 man Offaly in this Allianz Hurling League game played in Tullamore on Sunday March 6th.  The early exchanges were evenly matched and the sides were level at 0-5 each after 15 minutes.  However, a Dublin goal from Ryan O’Dwyer, some poor free taking from Offaly and the sending off of Brian Mulrooney changed the course of the game and by half time Dublin led by 2-12 to 0-5.

Offaly battled hard on the resumption, but could never get within striking distance of Dublin.  Shane Dooley received a nasty head injury towards the end of the game will be another injury worry ahead of next Sunday’s clash with Tipperary in Nenagh.  Offaly are already without the services of Paul Cleary, James Rigney, Derek Molloy, Joe Brady, Brendan Murphy, and David Kenny.
