Notable Sporting Achievements?

Won various underage/adult championship and league medals over the years from under 12,under 14,minor, intermediate and senior championship medals.A couple of league medals thrown in there as well. I also played in Lansdowne Road as an under 12 with Edenderry RFC.

Toughest Opponent?

All opponents are tricky.

Favourite Grounds?

Our own grounds in Edenderry. One of the best pitches around. After that O'Connor Park.

Hobbies?

Walking the dog, and reading.

Favourite Position?

Anywhere in the backline.

Favourite Players?

Ryan McMenamin-your typical narky corner back, but he can take a score as well. Cathal Daly when he was at his peak for Offaly and Mick Lyons when he played for Meath. An unreal full back.

Boyhood Hereos?

From an Edenderry perspective, Finbarr Cullen. Class act on and off the field. Further afield, Martin O'Connell was a super player for Meath, as evidenced by his selection on the GAA Team of the Millennium.

Influences On Your Career?

My father and Jimmy Dolan.

The High Point Of Your Career To Date?

Winning my first County medal with Edenderry in 1993 Under 12 County final against Clara was an important milestone as it instilled a love of Gaelic Games into me from a very young age. A high point would have to be when I was a panellist when Edenderry came back from 8 points down against Rhode in 2001 to draw the game and win the subsequent replay was great. We went mental after winning that.

Biggest Disappointment?

Losing the Junior Finals in 2003 and 2004. Especially 2004 as I was captain. Also watching the club get relegated in 2006.

Sporting Ambition?

To actively participate in Gaelic Football with Edenderry for as long as I am able. And hopefully the Senior team will win a Dowling Cup in the near future.

Players With A Promising Future?

Dan Maloney, Daniel Nolan, Alex Kenny, Peter McNamara, Conor Farrell

Ways Of Improving The Game?

Structured coaching/training for referees.

Dislikes About The GAA?

Poor officialdom - on the field and administratively.

Do You Have Any Relatives Involved In Gaelic Games?

My brother and all my cousins play for Clonmore Harps.

Best Game Seen?

1997 Leinster Final Offaly v Meath, some great football played that day, mostly by Offaly.

Best Game Played In?

I played in a Senior Schools North Leinster semi-final in 1999 against Moyne Community School of Longford where we were 5/6 points down at half time and we came back and won by a point in the second half. Paddy O'Donoghue was over the team that time and his half-time team talk was outrageous.

Funniest Team Mate?

Adrian Mahon - crazy

Hardest / Toughest Team Mate?

Shane Connell and Adrian Murphy. No messing with the two boys.

If You Could Buy One Player To Play For Edenderry, Who Would It Be?

Stephen O'Neill from Tyrone.

An Honest footballer who gave it 100% every time he togged out.
