Notable Sporting Achievements?

Won championships in all grades at underage. I have 3 senior, a junior and an intermediate championship. A Division 2 league, Intermediate and Junior leagues. Oh, and Jimmy Dolan says I came second to Stephen O’Neill in an u14 Feile skills competition in Kerry:)



Toughest Opponent?

Mark Daly of Clara I’d say.



Favourite Grounds?

O’Connor Park.



Hobbies?

Football, socialising and a bit of fishing.



Favourite Position?

Centre forward, but midfield if I had the height!



Favourite Players?

Currently I admire Brian Dooher, but loved Maurice Fitzgerald and Seamus Moynihan when they were playing.



Influences On Your Career?

My parents. Also Jimmy Dolan, Paddy Judge and Willie Kelly were brilliant.



The High Point Of Your Career To Date?

Probably ’97 when i was lucky enough to win 6 medals and be part of some great teams.



Biggest Disappointment?

Groin and hamstring injuries. A nightmare!

 
 
Players With A Promising Future?

Derek Kelly, Mark Young, Stephen Guing, Stewy Cullen. Any young player has a promising future if they work at it.



Ways Of Improving The Game?

None really, but I think we should be able to call a time-out when my hamstring is at me!



Dislikes About The GAA?

Training in January!



Do You Have Any Relatives Involved In Gaelic Games?

My father played with Clogherinkoe, and Mark Connor my cousin plays but I think he has forgotten where the pitch is:) My uncle Freddy Kane was supposed to be a legend in his day.



Best Goal Ever Seen Scored?

Maradona in the ’86 world cup, and Owen Mulligan in 2005 against Dublin.



Funniest Team Mate?

Adrian Mahon, Robbie has his moments too.



Hardest / Toughest Team Mate?

Shane Connell.



Best Player You Ever Played With?

Finbarr Cullen.

Colm Cooper when he’s on form.

Favourite Personal Saying Or Term Of Abuse?

‘Oh good Jasus’ you could just picture some auld lad saying it in the stand last Sunday watching us. Funny thing is you couldn’t blame him.

Ah I’m pretty easy going.

I would honestly listen to anything. I’ve an ipod full of allsorts.

Saving private Ryan.

I better say Aine here! Although she’d have to get the bill for it to be ideal:)
