Speaking recently, manager Mick Cooke was delighted to have so many players now confirmed, “I’m very pleased that we’ve been able to secure so many good players ahead of the Christmas break. All these players will be having the usual medical tests next week and then we’ll have a month off before starting straight into training on the 5th January. I think some of the players I’ve had my eye on have been overshadowed by others in their previous clubs and I believe that they will really come into their own in Drogheda and play a major part in our plans for next season”.
