On Saturday the 8th May, Naomh Olaf’s will be hosting a Poker Classic in aid of the club. This is a somewhat different fundraiser which will appeal to many people who are not associated with the club as well as many of the players, mentors and members.
As you may or may not be aware, running our Club is an expensive business and in these tough economic times we live in, it is more and more difficult to get money from businesses who would have supported us in the past. We all have a part in our great Club. We spend so much of our time winning and losing together be that playing or supporting. We ask that you could support this fundraiser as a step to further building on and maintaining what we have in our Club. This fundraiser is been driven by some of younger members and we hope that you can get behind them and encourage their efforts to raise badly needed funds for the Club.
The event kicks off at 5.00pm and will run right through to 12 with the players who make the final table battling for a share of the prize fund, which is expected to be around €5000. (Dependent on ticket sales)
Tickets cost €50 and can be obtained from the bar or online at www.myclubfinances.com/naomholafpoker
How can you help?
Maybe you are a bit of a card shark yourself or maybe you know of some friends who enjoy a good poker night, either way we are looking for your support for this important event.
· If you, and your friends & family, enjoy a game of poker, please rally a few friends and buy tickets and participate in the poker classic – All profits go back to the club
· Mention it to parents of the boys and girls on your team. Clearly the kids can help us on this one, but maybe their parents might enjoy the opportunity to do battle on the poker table
· There are posters available from behind the bar of the club which you can put up in your place of work, if you can, please get a few and help promote the classic
· Print off the attached flyer and give them to colleagues, family and friend
· Put the flyer on your car windows promoting the web site above as the way to get a ticket
Whatever you can do, we would appreciate your support– every little bit helps.
