The Club Executive Committee will host it’s first ever Club President’s night on Friday 10th July commencing at approximately 9.30pm.
The purpose of this historic occasion is to honour the prestigious office of Club President and the club members who have held this post
The office of Club President is selected from Club Members who are also members of the Club’s prestigious Hall of Fame. This annual Club Award was introduced in 1979 in recognition of members who had carried out exemplary service to the Club in their lifetime or who had obtained outstanding achievements for Club or County during their playing career.
As a token of our appreciation and esteem the Club will present the 3 surviving Club Presidents who have represented our club with pride and distinction with special Club Blazers commemorating their respective terms of office as follows-
Pat Rodgers 2003 – 2005;
Jim Jennings 2006-2008;
and our current Club President Teddy Rice 2009-2011;
The blazers with Club Crest and years of office have been specially commissioned and will be reserved for past and future Club Presidents only.
All Club members past and present are invited to come along on Saturday 10th July. Tom McCann will provide music and a light supper will be provided.
