The following is an extract from the Annacurra GAA website http://www.annacurragaaclub.com/robert-doyle-steps-down/:

"Robert Doyle Steps Down After 3 Great Years

After three very successful years with Annacurra, Robert Doyle has left his position of manager in the previous weeks. The club enjoyed a very successful period under Robert’s leadership and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Robert took the reins in 2010 and the impact was immediate as he steered the club to the illusive Intermediate title that the club craved. Ironically, Robert was the manager of Carnew who defeated us in the dying moments of the 2008 final which was one of many that slipped away over the 00’s. The following season, he helped steer the club to promotion to Division 1 and a Senior Quarter Final. This year the club retained their status in both areas and were very comfortable in the league table.

Despite his tender years, Robert has already compiled an impressive cv with 2 Intermediate titles and a Division 1 and 2 title to his name. No doubt he may be back in a hotseat again soon but fingers crossed he will not be a thorn in our side.

We hope he can look back with fondness on his time in our club and we hope to see him down again soon. All the best Rob."
