Annual Dog Night; The Clubs Annual Family Dog Night will be held on the 14th Sept at Newbridge Greyhound Stadium. It promises to be a great night out and is an important Fund Raiser for the club. Please support and buy a ticket, Family €20, Single €10.

Bag Pack; The Club would like to thank all those who helped out in the bag pack over last weekend, it was very successful.

20th Anniversary; The Club will hold a night to Honour the teams from 1993 (Senior, U/21, Minor and Intermediate Camogie) who all won their respective Championships. This night will be held on Sat 21st September. Music and refreshments on the night. Contact the Secretary (087/6606035) for more details.

Pool Tournament ; The Pool Tournament kicks off again on Saturday nights at 8.30, all are welcome.

Function Rooms; There are 3 Function Rooms available in the club which can cater for big and small Functions, Weddings, Christenings, Birthdays, Funerals, etc. Enquiries to Celene (087/7934780) Christy (087/9249884)

Football ; Well done to the Senior Team who have advanced to the Quarterfinals after beating Monsterevin on Sunday. They now play Confey on Sunday 8th Sept at 12.00 in Newbridge. The Minors play Two Mile House on Tue 3rd at 18.45 in Sallins. The U/16 play Clane in the Semi Final on Fri 6th at 8.30 in Hawkfield.

Ladies Football; Well done to the Ladies Senior Team who beat Ballykelly last Tuesday evening in the First Rd of the Championship. Sarsfields Ladies Football section are now inviting applications for the posts of managers of the ladies football U15, U13 & U11 teams for the upcoming Autumn leagues. The U15 league is scheduled to begin on August 31st, no dates have been set for the start of the U13 or U11 leagues but it is expected that they will commence in September. All management teams must contain at least one female mentor to order to comply with the LGFA code of ethics. All candidates must fill out an official application form which is available from the Ladies Football secretary at ladiessecretarysarsfields@gmail.com or you can contact me (Liam O’Brien) by phone at 085-1560318. If you are interested in any of the above positions or have any questions then please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Skills Academy; The Dermot Earley Skills Academy is now in full swing on Saturday mornings and all new members are welcome. Times are as follows: 09.00 – 10.30 boys u8, u9, u10. 10.30 – 11.15 Girls u9, u10. 11.15 – 12.45 Boys u5, u6, u7, girls u5-u8. Looking forward to meeting new Members.

The Club Shop The shop is open every Saturday morning. It is well stocked out with all types of gear both casual and Training. Gum Shields are now available priced at €6

National gathering; This year as part of the national Gathering, Sarsfields will be inviting Sarsfields people and Newbridge people in general who are abroad, home for a weekend provisionally pencilled in for the weekend of the All-Ireland football final in September. If anyone would like to get involved in the project, offer suggestions or help in any way please contact PRO Seamus McGann on 087/2039726 or at sashproshea@gmail.com. There will be a committee set up Later in the Year to plan the event.

Club Lotto; The club would like to thank all those who support the lotto and would like to encourage all its members to participate in the weekly Lotto draw. This can now be done by going on to the Sarsfields web site and clicking on the (play lotto now) link, then follow the step by step instructions.
