Annual Golf Outing; Sarsfields held their Annual Golf Outing Saturday 20th July in Newbridge Golf Club. The club would like to thank all those who sponsored the event.

Football ; The Senior Team had a good win over Naas on Sunday 21st on a score line of 2-10 to 2-07. Well done to the Minor Team who won the League Title on Sunday Morn by Beating Two Mile House on a score line of 3-17 to 0-09. A great Display of Football from the Team and a Man of the Match Performance from Ben McCormack. Hard Luck to the Junior Team who Narrowly lost out in their first Rd of the Championship.
Hurling; The Hurlers had a good win in the Championship on Thur 18th against Kill. They now play on Thur evening coming V Ardclough. (In Sarsfields)
Ladies Football; Best of luck to Roisin Byrne and the Kildare Ladies who play against Clare on Sat in the Championship. Sarsfields Ladies Football section are now inviting applications for the posts of managers of the ladies football U15, U13 & U11 teams for the upcoming Autumn leagues. The U15 league is scheduled to begin on August 31st, no dates have been set for the start of the U13 or U11 leagues but it is expected that they will commence in September. All management teams must contain at least one female mentor to order to comply with the LGFA code of ethics. Skills Academy; The Dermot Earley Skills Academy is now in full swing on Saturday mornings and all new members are welcome. Times are as follows: 09.00 – 10.30 boys u8, u9, u10. 10.30 – 11.15 Girls u9, u10. 11.15 – 12.45 Boys u5, u6, u7, girls u5-u8. Looking forward to meeting new members.
The Club Shop The shop is open every Saturday morning. It is well stocked out with all types of gear both casual and Training. Gum Shields are now available priced at €6
National gathering; This year as part of the national Gathering, Sarsfields will be inviting Sarsfields people and Newbridge people in general who are abroad, home for a weekend provisionally pencilled in for the weekend of the All-Ireland football final in September. If anyone would like to get involved in the project, offer suggestions or help in any way please contact PRO Seamus McGann on 087/2039726 or at sashproshea@gmail.com. There will be a committee set up Later in the Year to plan the event.
