Sarsfields Annual Golf Outing The Sash annual golf outing will take place on Fri 13th June. A team of 4 will cost €200. We are also looking for sponsorship so if you are interested. For further Info you can contact Mick Ward 086/4034439.

Summer Draw Cards The club is now calling back all Summer card draws as we intend to hold the draw on Sunday the 25th of May in the club. Thank you.

Dermot Earley Academy Our underage Academy is now in full swing on Saturday morning for all children between the ages of 5 and 11. Sarsfields have a very successful underage structure and this is due to the hard work and commitment of our underage coaches. As always, at the start of every year we welcome all our new members in to the Academy and we look forward to seeing you. For further Info Contact Mick Byrne (086/8375719) our Academy Co-Ordinator.

Dermot Earley Leadership Cse Well done to our 4 girls, Sara Holden, Aisleigh Ward, Gemma Harnett, Cira Morris who have now completed module 2 of the Course. The girls are now starting module 3 of the course and part of their project is to raise €1,500. They will be running a number of fundraisers and one of them will be a table quiz. This will take place on the 6th of June at 8.30 in the club. The girls will would also be grateful of anyone who might be able to donate a spot prize for a raffle on the night. Football Best wishes and a speedy recovery to Conor Hartley who got injured while playing for the Kildare minors on Saturday. Well done to all our Minors who were involved in the victory over Longford.
Well done to the minor team who won the Minor League Div 1 Final on Sunday 18th May, they beat Clane on a scoreline of 6-17 to 3-05. A great performance from Sean Dempsey seen him score 4-05.
Well done to our 2nd and 4th teams who won their League games on Mon 19th May. A good individual performance from Matty Redmond saw him score 3-02 v Ballymore.

Ladies Football Our Senior Ladies were crowned Champions of the Senior Football Lge Div 2, a great display of football was served up on the night and well done to all involved.

Hurling Our Senior Hurlers were unlucky to lose out to Confey in the 4th Rd of the SHL Div 2 on Thur 15th. Their next league match is a home fixture to St. Laurences on Thur 22nd. Throw in @ 19.30.

Bar Update On Saturday coming the 24th of May the Club Bar will be showing the Champions League Final live on TV. Also on Sunday the 25th we will be showing all the Live GAA matches now that the season has got underway. As always all are welcome to the club.

Second Hand Clothes Collection The club is still collecting second hand clothes and you can hand in your clothes in the morning or the evening when the club is open. For further info you can contact Christy on 087/9249884

Last Man Standing As the last man standing was very popular for the NFL the club is now going to run the same one for the Championship. For further Info you can Contact Steve Murphy, John Maher or Shane Scanlon. All their contact details are on the website. Even though the Competition has started you can still enter at this stage.

Hard luck to Brian Dempsey as he had Tyrone and to be fair it was a handy Tenner for the club. Thanks Brian!!!

Used Football & Hurling Gear As the club Equipment officer it is my aim to raise funds whenever possible, to ease the cost on the club on buying training equipment. Over the next few weeks I will be trying to collect as much gear as possible and then sell it for a small fee on a Saturday morn at the Academy. What we need, Boots (all sizes), Helmets, any O’Neills gear, Jerseys, Hoodies etc. Any Monies made from this will be used to buy training gear for the club. I will start to collect on Saturday morn coming 29th Mar, so if you are attending the Academy or you can call in with some used gear please leave it in the shop. Cumann Na Sáirseálach On Saturday 1st March the club launched its new fund raising Initiative which is known as Cumann na Sáirsealach All the info on this can be found on the web site www.sarsfieldsgaanewbridge.ie If you are interested in joining this and supporting the club you can contact Vice Chairman John Maher (087/6371285). This is a great opportunity to support your club and help us to develop it more for the future.

Gym Fobs Anyone who had already paid membership and for the Gym Fobs you can now collect them off Christy Horan (087/9249884).

Function Rooms There are 3 Function Rooms available in the club which can cater for big and small Functions, Weddings, Christenings, Birthdays, Funerals, etc. Enquiries to Shirley (086/8568830)

The Club Shop The shop is well stocked out with all types of gear both casual and Training, we also have a large stock of Gum Shields for the upcoming season for €5 each. The Shop opens every Sat morning from 11am to 1pm or you can contact Angie Byrne on 086/0762710.

Club Lotto The club would like to thank all those who support the Lotto and would like to encourage all its members to participate in the weekly Lotto draw.
